Well, this has been a very interesting experience.
I apologize for being unable to mention anything past the beginning of the post, but as has been pointed out here, Amanda (and others in the link list) is a very real person to me, and while I've read the whole post like 5 times now, I still am rattled by the venom at its beginning, regardless of what follows.

Back then we were told to shut up and sit down, so feminism is about not shutting up and sitting down. If you tell me to shut and sit down, therefore, you are a sexist white man from the 1950s.
